Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancun | Cassie and Joe
I just returned from another fun filled wedding at the beautiful Azul Sensatori in Puerto Morelos Mexico. Cassie and Joe welcomed me to the rehearsal night’s Beach S’more Party and it was awesome! Tables of skewered marshmallow’s, chocolate fountains, graham crackers, fresh fruit-on-a- stick, and other goodies were muy delicioso! It was great to meet all the guests after flying in that day and I could instantly tell that they had a great group of friends and family and that the wedding would be a blast.
Wedding day was beautiful. Hot and humid but that’s to be expected. They were married on the impressive Sky Deck overlooking the ocean and it’s an amazing view. When the reception came, it was another emotional father daughter dance which had the bridesmaids (and I think a few dudes) tearing up! Later, a little thunder and lightening showed up after the cake cutting and everyone took cover to get out of the pouring rain that seemed to come out of nowhere. It is the tropics and these things do happen. But I was so impressed with everyone’s reaction. The DJ had to unplug due to the rain, but instead of everyone being bummed out, the wedding party instantly broke out into song and made a valiant effort to keep the party going for awhile longer. I took the opportunity to take them around the property at night to do a couple fun shots.
The next day was our Trash the Dress photoshoot and these are always my favorite to do. We have creative freedom to roam around,explore and just have fun shooting around the picturesque property. There are no rules and anything goes. The photoshoots usually end with Bride and Groom running in the ocean and this one was no exception. This is always a great moment and we drew a crowd to watch this one! Thanks guys for having me document your special day!
