Malibu Adamson House Wedding | Jeoparady’s Sarah Whitcomb
” What is…. An Amazing Wedding!” This would be the answer when a traveling Jeopardy! correspondent marries a banker that loves to travel! Jeporady’s Sarah Whitcomb, married her love Chris Foss, at the historical Adamson House in Malibu CA. Very few wedding venues are as unique as the Adamson House. A late afternoon ceremony under the mighty oak tree at the Adamson house lawn always resonates romance. The way the light bounces in, with the surrounding abundant flowers, and ocean in the background, is just perfection.
“Chris and Sarah – Journey of Love.” This was a travel themed wedding with amazing creative detail! From the passport program and invitations made to resemble tickets, to her place ‘cards’ which were hand painted airplanes, Sarah’s creative style was meticulously thought out. Beautiful flowers were arranged by Wisteria Lane.
One of the most adorable details of the day was when the 2 year old twin flower girls appeared, not walking down the aisle, but driving down the aisle in matching hot pink mini mustangs, and driving them were tuxedoed twin boys, also 2 years old! (this sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, but the cars were rewired to be remote controlled by their dad!) The banner on the back: “Here comes the bride”
Sarah looks great on Jeopardy, but in a Monique Lhuillier gown with floor length veil and Kate Spade shoes, she was stunning! In the courtyard at sunset, The guests enjoyed their Signature drink, The Globetrotter, and appetizer cuisines from all over the world. Even the cake was expertly decorated with a globe, passports and caricature miniatures of bride and groom flying in an airplane as the cake topper.
The Peekabooth photo booth was a hit with special themed props Sarah rented to celebrate the places that Sarah and Chris have traveled together. Their romantic first dance to “You and Me” by Dave Mathews was professionally choreographed and had us all smiling at seeing the joy on their faces.The event was coordinated and catered by Good Gracious Events who prepared a delicious family-style feast for the guests.
D.J.Shark had the guests dancing after dinner and it was a fun surprise to have a couple of live bongo drummers join the guests on the dancefloor creating a really cool vibe. Chris and Sarah are no doubt enjoying their honeymoon in Fiji. And who knows, probably planning their next trip as we speak. Life will be an adventure with these two for sure!
