Descanso Gardens Wedding | Julie + Adi

Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge is a dream wedding venue for photographers, and for couples who are looking for a fairytale garden setting to host their big day. Julie and Adi picked this quaint spot for it’s luscious greenery, spacious gardens, and picture-perfect backdrops.

The ceremony site, located under an umbrella of trees, offers beautiful light for a mid-day ceremony, and keeps your guest in cool in the shade. With enough space for even the largest bridal parties and plenty of wedding guests, you can’t go wrong with simple pink florals like Julie chose from Vave Studios to match the greenery all around.

As a photographer, we couldn’t ask for more when it comes to finding gorgeous scenery to pose our bride and groom for couple’s photos. We made the most of the venue, and scouted out locations in the morning for the bride and her bridesmaids to be photographed in a park amongst a gorgeous rustic wood bench, which fit the wedding day theme perfectly. As the sun got lower in the sky, we found the perfect spot to photograph the bride and groom’s first look, followed by a short romantic portrait session.

After the ceremony, we danced the night away while iDJ kept the party going. We were able to sneak the bride and groom away for a few cinematic night-time photos outside under the archway. We love the way they turned out!

Julie and Adi were the perfect subjects to photograph, and their exuberance and joy on their wedding day gave every picture the finishing touch it needed. They are a perfect match, and we for each other, and we loved being a part of their day! To the bride and groom, we wish you a lifetime and happiness… Thanks for letting us be there when you said “I do!”.
